MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Dec. 03, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Commure, a leading healthcare technology company, and Ob Hospitalist Group (OBHG), the nation’s largest provider of OB/GYNs and customized women’s health solutions, announced a strategic partnership to deploy Commure’s Autonomous Coding to nearly 2,000 clinicians and over 200 care sites. The solution helps save clinicians and coders valuable time by automatically generating medical codes from clinical documentation (including CPT codes, ICD-10 diagnoses, and modifiers).
OBHG has been using Commure’s charge collection technology for a long time, and now they are quickly rolling out Commure Autonomous Coding throughout all of their hospitals. The results are amazing: physicians cut the time they spent entering charges by 83% in just three months, and AI now codes more than 85% of all costs.
“Every new idea we use at OBHG has to improve both quality and the experience of the clinician,” stated Dr. Mark Simon, Chief Medical Officer at Ob Hospitalist Group. “Autonomous coding helps us find that balance by speeding up the accuracy of coding while keeping the highest standards for compliance and clinical oversight.” It’s a great illustration of how technology can help our clinicians instead of replacing them and make the value we deliver to our hospital partners even stronger.
Commure reverses the cycle of “familiar coding” by bringing to light secondary diagnoses and specifics that are typically missed in manual practice. Over the next year, OBHG wants to use this technology at more than 200 sites.
Tanay Tandon, CEO of Commure, said, “By intelligently automating the complex, time-consuming tasks of coding and documentation, we are empowering providers to spend less time battling bureaucracy.” “Autonomous coding is a technology made for the front lines to get back to what care is all about.”
Commure’s AI platform combines ambient documentation, agentic AI, and revenue cycle automation to make things easier for administrators and improve performance. This method relies heavily on Autonomous Coding. It makes things more accurate, speeds up coding procedures, and supports a documentation-first method that keeps doctors focused on giving great care.
