LUXEMBOURG and STOCKHOLM, Dec. 09, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — evroc, the European cloud, and SUSE, a global leader in enterprise open source solutions, today announce a strategic partnership to deliver a European solution for cloud solutions infrastructure and management, emphasising digital sovereignty. As signatories of Eurostack, SUSE and evroc’s collaboration brings together SUSE’s expertise in infrastructure management with evroc’s next-generation European cloud platform and infrastructure, offering customers a robust and secure environment for their critical workloads.
As one of Europe’s first Sovereign Cloud Service Providers, evroc will start by offering SUSE Linux Enterprise and SUSE Linux Micro as operating systems. SUSE Rancher Prime is also getting certified to run on evroc’s cloud, which makes it a great choice for managing Kubernetes. This deal is both a business deal and a strategic partnership to provide enterprise-ready sovereign solutions. The offer will be offered to everyone in the first quarter of 2026.
Frank Feldmann, Chief Strategy Officer at SUSE, says, “This partnership with evroc is a big step forward in our promise to give our customers a choice of open, interoperable, and secure solutions.” “We’re building a real European cloud ecosystem that gives businesses digital sovereignty and the freedom they need to come up with new ideas.”
All combined evroc and SUSE products will come with SUSE Sovereign Premium Support, which means that customers will get help from European staff. As part of their long-term relationship, evroc and SUSE will add more open infrastructure solutions and support options over time. These will include SUSE virtualization and SUSE AI technologies.
James Collis, VP of Partnerships at evroc, says, “We are very happy to work with SUSE to bring a complete and independent cloud offering to the European market.” “SUSE’s proven knowledge of enterprise open source, along with evroc’s cutting-edge cloud infrastructure, will give businesses the best way to keep their digital assets safe and in their hands.”
Rahiel Nasir, research director for IDC’s European cloud practice and lead analyst for digital sovereignty, says, “Technology providers can help organizations successfully implement sovereign infrastructure and ease these problems by working with a trusted ecosystem of partners that can guarantee sovereign controls without sacrificing agility.” “This method lets European businesses go beyond partial sovereignty and meet all of the data, technical, and operational sovereignty needs that are needed to keep up with the modern regulatory environment.”
